OVERVIEW
Trotter is a web-based platform designed to streamline and personalize the travel planning experience for young travellers. It centralizes trip organization, budgeting, and collaborative features into a seamless interface. Unlike existing tools that offer fragmented planning solutions, Trotter allows users to conveniently manage everything in one place. The goal is to reduce the time spent on planning and maximize the enjoyment of the travel experience.
PROCESS
Trotter’s development began with research to understand the needs of young, organized travellers. By analyzing user goals and conducting surveys, I identified key issues found in current travel planning tools. I then designed low-fidelity wireframes to map out the platform’s core features, including itinerary creation, budgeting, and real-time updates. After evaluating these wireframes through heuristic evaluations and peer feedback, I refined the design into a high-fidelity prototype. This version features improved visual consistency, clear navigation, and a user-friendly interface.
DELIVERABLES
The deliverables for this project include both low-fidelity wireframes and a high-fidelity prototype that illustrate how Trotter could function if brought to full development. The wireframes helped define the layout and flow of the platform, while the final prototype visualizes how users would interact with the platform, including activity discovery, budget tracking, and collaboration features. The prototype was developed using Figma, with a focus on clarity, consistency, and addressing user needs.
