OVERVIEW
The objective of this project is to create a public awareness campaign for a topic of choice. With two deliverables, my job was to appeal to audiences through a poster and email campaign. The poster could be displayed in public spaces, such as on public transportation, while the email campaign would be sent to the organization’s subscribers. The key focuses of this assignment are to understand your intended audience, practice typographic design, and effectively attract users attention.

PROCESS
As with all of my design work, this creative process began with research. To create effective visual communication I understand the need to deeply understand intended audiences. Through personas I began by defining my audiences and used thoughtful visual strategies to appeal to them through colour and typography. Both designs were done using Illustrator, with preliminary sketches and original hand work done in Procreate. This design relies heavily on colour and typography as I used both elements to indicate the key message to the audience without requiring extensive reading. Considering the rushed nature of most commuters and lack of intensive reading for those looking through their inbox, these elements help communicate visually based on an understanding of the intended user.

DELIVERABLES
The deliverables for this project display my skills in Illustrator, as well as my ability to create seamless branding and targeted visual communication. These pieces also showcase my typographic skills, and ability to attract users through research, empathy, and understanding.
